The Device accounts

With every Presence Board account you can access a Private Board which allows you to manage employee and visitor presence in your organisation.
Owners and Administrators of a Premium Subscription are also enabled to add and edit names in the Cloud Board, and there they can specify another type of these entries, that identifies them as Device accounts.
In-out boards exposed for public access
The main purpose of any name marked as Device is to publish a public facing in-out board. Once you have assigned an email address to it, you need to use the same address to register a new, free Presence Board account and link it to your Premium Subscription using Cloud-Sync.

Enable additional email addresses for the Whereabouts
You may also want just to provide an additional email address for your employees, as a destination for anytime they send a Whereabouts message. In this case, you don’t even need to have a specific Presence Board account linked to that name.
Provide access to accounts not linked with Clound-Sync
Sometimes it’s required to provide external accounts (not linked with Cloud-Sync) a limited access to your subscription, as if they were regular Device accounts. We covered that possibility here: Access multiple subscriptions through the quick-access list.
